Bibles for Pakistan

Pakistan Outreach Ministries is a Christian missions organization committed to reaching and discipling the millions of lost souls of Pakistan and to plant and strengthen a pioneer church in every un-reached community and least evangelized area of Pakistan which does not has a Gospel witness. Established in Aug 1996, Pakistan Outreach Ministries has been involved in evangelism, church planting, leadership training, literature production and compassion projects.

As more and more people come to Jesus every day, they make it a priority to place every believer in a local church. Since 1996, “Pakistan Outreach” has planted 327 churches with an attendance of thousands of believers. A bold vision to plant and strengthen thousands of churches in the years ahead is fueling the growth of this ministry. They are committed to train and equip visionary and strategic national pastors, evangelists and Christian leaders in Pakistan through leadership seminars, mission conferences and teaching material such as faith based books, audio tapes, CDs etc. Most of the native church leaders of Pakistan are not well educated and have not any formal ministry training. Imagine being a church leader and having no resources other than a Bible. “Pakistan Outreach” has published 16 faith-based books and distributed among the church leaders of Pakistan free of charge making a total number of more than 85,000 copies.

They also have been assisting the persecuted pastors, evangelists and Christian families have been persecuted for their faith. Pakistan is the 2nd largest Islamic nation of the world with more than 160 million souls. After the 9/11, Pakistan has become the focus of the world. Between Afghanistan, Iran, China, Kashmir and India; Pakistan is a strategic nation. 97.2 % of the population is Muslim. Christians make up 1.7 % of the population and suffer more than any other religious group. A growing body of believers continually struggles under governmental persecution because it is officially illegal for Muslims to convert to Christianity. A shortage of Bibles, faith-based literature, churches and pastors makes it difficult for Christians and new believers to grow in their faith and sustain relationship with Christ. Millions are still waiting for their first Gospel witness and more than a half of Pakistan's population has never heard about Jesus.

This is why WordWinds International is partnering with Pakistan Outreach Ministries to provide Bibles in the Urdu language to be used alongside their humanitarian efforts in Northern Pakistan. Please consider contributing to placing one or more of these Bibles in the hands of a family in Pakistan that desperately needs the Words of Life and Comfort.
